Justin Pennington

Justin Pennington is an accomplished professional in the field of pharmaceutical sciences, currently serving as the Associate Vice President for Small Molecule Analytical Research and Development at Merck since July 2009. With extensive experience leading teams in analytical development for small molecule drug products and biopharmaceutics, Justin has also held roles such as Executive Director and Director at Merck, where responsibilities included oversight of analytical methods, biopharmaceutics assessments, and support for preclinical studies. Prior to their tenure at Merck, Justin worked as a Senior Scientist at Schering-Plough Research Institute and began their career in instructional design and technical support. Justin earned a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from The University of Kansas and a BS in Chemistry and Math from Briar Cliff University.
