Adam Raphaely

Adam Raphaely has held various roles in the field of environmental commodities trading and risk management. Adam started their career as a Pricing Analyst at DKR Capital in 2003, followed by a role as an Investment/Risk Management Analyst at Alexandra Investment Management, LLC in 2004. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as part of the Environmental Products team at Tradition Energy. In 2010, Raphaely joined KARBONE and built the firm's western Environmental Commodities business. Adam then moved to Noble Group in 2012 as an SVP - Environmental Products, where they established and grew the Environmental Commodities trading desk. In 2017, Raphaely joined Mercuria Energy America, where they currently serve as MD, Trading - Carbon and Environmental Products. Adam has built market-leading physical and financial commodity risk management platforms, established global offset trading books, and built customer franchises for emissions and renewable energy.

Adam Raphaely completed their education in a chronological order. Adam first attended the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika from 1998 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Business Management. Following this, from 2001 to 2002, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Investment Management at Bayes Business School. Lastly, from 2006 to 2007, they attended Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), where they obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a focus on Environmental Science and Policy.
