Joe Thompson

Joe Thompson is an experienced leader in the affordable housing sector, currently serving as President at Mercy Housing since June 2020. Prior to this role, Joe held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Peoples' Self-Help Housing from July 2014 to June 2020 and was Vice President of Property Operations at Mercy Housing from June 2004 to June 2014. Joe's earlier experience includes a decade as Director of Affordable Housing at Catholic Community Services from 1993 to 2004. Joe holds a Masters Degree in Social Work/Non Profit Administration from the University of Washington (2004-2006), completed the Executive Education Program at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government (2016-2018), and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Arizona (1984-1988).
