Phillip Wood

Phillip Wood has worked as a System Support Specialist at Meridian Energy since March 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Beany from August 2017 to August 2020 as a Client Support and Xero Specialist, providing business advisory services and training small business owners on how to effectively use Xero. Phillip also worked at Laurenson Chartered Accountants from April 2014 to June 2017 as an Accountant, gaining expertise in taxation and financial accounting services for small to medium-sized businesses, and becoming a Xero expert in the process.

Phillip Wood's education history begins in 2012 when they attended Lincoln University (NZ) to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Finance. Phillip completed this degree in 2014. Following that, from 2014 to 2017, they enrolled at Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand to pursue a Chartered Accountant certification. This educational experience helped him gain expertise and knowledge in the field of accountancy. In 2020, they attended Dev Academy Aotearoa, where they focused on web development but did not obtain a specific degree. This allowed him to acquire skills in web development and expand their skillset.
