Andy Close has over 30 years of work experience in software development and project management. Andy began their career at Number One Parts, Inc. in 1983, where they designed and implemented an auto parts order management and inventory control system. From 1986 to 1988, they worked as a Software Developer at American Software, Inc. and collaborated with clients to modify software packages to their specifications. Andy then joined Interface in 1988 as a Senior Software Developer, leading projects to integrate software systems of acquired companies. During their time at Interface, they designed, programmed, tested, and implemented new software, as well as provided maintenance and support for existing software. Since 1998, Andy has been working at MeridianLink, where they initially worked as a Technical Project Manager. In this role, they managed software implementation projects from start to finish and implemented loan origination software that significantly increased customers' automated decisions. Andy also empowered customers' Credit and Risk Departments by implementing configuration software and providing training. Currently, Andy is a Mainframe Developer at MeridianLink.
Andy Close attended Clayton State University from 1981 to 1983, where they earned an Associate in Applied Science degree in Management Information Systems, General. In addition to their degree, they obtained two certifications: The Top 10 Project Management Mistakes—and How to Avoid Them from LinkedIn in June 2019, and Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in May 2018.
