Thomas Zahorik has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Thomas recently joined Meriplex as a Senior Systems Analyst in July 2022. Prior to that, from 2020 to 2021, they worked at UI Health as a Tier II Desktop Support Analyst.
Between 2015 and 2020, Thomas was self-employed as a Translator, specializing in English to Spanish and Spanish to English translations. Thomas provided translations for various purposes, including social marketing, public health, political campaigns, fine art, and anthropology. Thomas also conducted HIV prevention and public health workshops in Spanish for communities at high risk.
From 2015 to 2019, Thomas worked as an Independent Contractor, focusing on event, transportation, and hospitality. Thomas coordinated shuttles for large events, ensuring top-level service for guests. Thomas also hosted small groups at dinners and catered events.
In 2016 to 2018, Thomas served as the PrEP Program Coordinator at Cook County Health, where they successfully implemented a bilingual PrEP program and organized the "Chicago Latinx PrEP Collaborative" to foster collaboration among organizations offering PrEP to Latinx communities.

In the education field, Thomas was a Secondary School Teacher at Colegio Colombo Britanico from 2012 to 2015, where they designed curriculum for IB courses in Social and Cultural Anthropology and Theory of Knowledge. Thomas also taught Primary School from 2010 to 2012 and participated in various MYP pilot programs.
Earlier in their career, Thomas worked as a Marketing Specialist at International Student Services Organization (ISSO) from 2009 to 2010. Thomas began their professional journey as an Associate at Keeley Asset Management Corp. from 2002 to 2006.
Thomas Zahorik has a diverse education history. In 2019, they attended the Cisco Networking Academy and earned a CCENT (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician) degree in Routing and Switching, which they completed in 2022. Prior to this, Thomas studied General Studies at DePaul University and Cultural Anthropology at New College of Florida, although the exact years of their enrollment are unknown. Additionally, Thomas holds several certifications, including an SDL Post-Editing Certificate obtained in April 2019, an HIV Testing and Prevention Counselor certification obtained in April 2017 from the Chicago Department of Public Health, and a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification obtained from ILAC in 2009.
