Mike Salmina

Mike Salmina has over 20+ years of experience in the real estate industry, with a focus on land acquisition, project management, entitlements, and construction. Mike currently holds the position of Vice President, Land Acquisition at Meritage Homes, where they have been since 2014. In this role, they have purchased over 10,000 lots in the Southern California and Colorado markets, showcasing their expertise in site selection, negotiations, contracting, due diligence, financial analysis, land-use entitlements, and land development. Prior to joining Meritage Homes, Mike was a Partner and Legal Counsel at TCD Holdings, LLC from 2008 onwards. Mike also worked as a Sales Representative at Zimmer Spine from 2009 to 2014. Earlier in their career, they served as the Director of Land Acquisition and Director of Entitlements and Project Management at Centex Homes from 1998 to 2008. Before that, they worked as a Construction Manager at Sheffield Homes from 1996 to 1998.

Mike Salmina holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in an unspecified field of study from UC Santa Barbara. Mike then attended the University of Denver - Sturm College of Law from 1993 to 1996, where they obtained a Juris Doctor degree with a focus on Real Estate, Natural Resource, and Criminal Law. Additionally, Mike Salmina completed the Energy Land Management Certificate Program with a specialization in Oil and Gas at the University of Denver/Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management.
