Joanne Britt

Joanne Britt has a broad range of work experience in the education field. Joanne currently holds the position of Director of Curriculum and Instruction at the Meriwether County School District since July 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as a Math Mentor/Consultant at West Georgia RESA from July 2019 to June 2021, where they provided professional learning and coaching to improve mathematics achievement in K-12 schools. From 2012 to 2019, Joanne served as a Math Curriculum and Instruction Specialist at the Troup County Board of Education, working closely with administrators to develop curriculum initiatives and materials. Joanne also has experience as a Math Educator at the Meriwether County Board of Education from 2008 to 2012, and as a Middle and High School Educator at Trinity Christian Academy from 2005 to 2008. Joanne started their career as a Math and Science Teacher and Testing Coordinator at New Hope High School from 2002 to 2005.

Joanne Britt has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Textile Sciences and Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University, which they obtained from 1992 to 1995. Joanne then attended Georgia Institute of Technology in 1991 to 1992, where their field of study was also Textile Sciences and Engineering, although no specific degree was mentioned. Later, from 2010 to 2012, Joanne pursued a Master of Education (MEd) in Educational Leadership and Administration, General at Georgia College & State University. Joanne then furthered their education at the same university, earning an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from an unspecified start year to 2017.
