Sheila Wilson has a solid and extensive work experience in the education sector. Sheila started their career in 1994 as a Teacher at the Berrien County Board of Education, where they worked until 2006. During this time, they also served as a Graduation Coach from 2006 to 2008.
In 2008, Sheila moved on to the Cook County Board of Education, where they held the role of CTAE Director until 2011. Sheila then transitioned to the Pickens County Board of Education, serving as their CTAE Director from 2011 to 2014.
In 2014, Sheila joined the Lamar County Board of Education as their CTAE Director, a position they held until 2015 when they moved to the Fayette County BOE. At Fayette County BOE, they served as the Assistant Principal of Whitewater High School from 2015 onwards.
From 2017, Sheila held two positions simultaneously. Sheila became the Curriculum Director at the Meriwether County School District and the Assistant Superintendent at the same district until their retirement in April 2022.
Sheila Wilson has an extensive education history. In 1989, they obtained their Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree in Middle Grades Education from Valdosta State University. Following that, from 1996 to 1998, they pursued a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction, also at Valdosta State University. Later, in 1999 to 2001, they continued their education at Valdosta State University, completing an Ed.S. in Curriculum & Instruction. In 2004 to 2005, Sheila earned their National Board Teacher Certification (NBCT) in English Language Arts. Finally, in 2005 to 2006, they completed another Ed.S. degree, this time in Educational Leadership at Valdosta State University.
