Jim Gerberich

Jim Gerberich is an experienced professional in the media and technology sectors, currently serving as Customer in Residence for AI Visual Search at Canto since August 2023. Prior to this role, Jim worked as a Business Development / Visual Search Evangelist for MerlinOne, where efforts focused on advancing Visual Search technology. Jim's extensive tenure at The Associated Press spanned from 1986 to 2022, culminating in the position of Global Director of Customer Distribution Platforms, where leadership was provided in integrating historical video and photo archives into a centralized platform. Jim held various leadership roles at AP, including Director of Internet Platforms and Business Operations, Director of Platform Development and Operations for AP Images, and played a pivotal role in launching AP Wide World Photos. Jim began the career as a Staff Photojournalist, covering significant news, sports, and political events.
