Ravi Kokku

Ravi has wide-ranging experience in distributed systems, operating systems, networking, analytics, and intelligent tutoring platforms. At IBM T. J. Watson Research, he provided research leadership for Sesame Workshop and Deakin Digital engagements, while using and developing Watson technologies for the Education domain. For three years at IBM Research India, he was responsible for running innovation initiatives with IBM’s telecom clients: Vodafone and Bharti Airtel. His previous work includes adaptive self-tuning systems, IoT systems analytics and management, network virtualization and large scale communication network analytics. He holds a Ph.D. from UT-Austin in Computer Science and has received several best paper awards in academic conferences and industry awards for innovations. He spent over five years at NEC Laboratories America and seven years at IBM Research. He has over 40 peer reviewed papers and 50 patents, and has several other pending patent applications.
