Irene Ramirez

Irene Ramirez has diverse experience in design and communication roles. Irene currently works as a Product Designer at Datasite since April 2022. Previously, from July 2014 to March 2022, they worked as an Infographic & Communication Designer, where they designed websites, infographics, brand visuals, and motion graphic videos to assist independent consultants and small businesses in launching their projects. Additionally, they planned and implemented content strategies, presented sitemaps and wireframes to meet client and audience needs.

Irene also worked as a UX/UI Designer at InkMarket from November 2021 to January 2022. Their responsibilities included collaborating with a team to redesign the NFT platform for tattoo artists, conducting user interviews and usability tests, and redefining the information architecture.

In their role as a Communication Design Consultant at UN Women from March 2015 to February 2020, Irene created visual reports, infographics, and videos to communicate research and strategies to decision-makers. Irene completed projects commissioned by UN Women and designed layouts and graphics aligned with branding guidelines.

From 2015 to 2018, Irene worked as an Infographic Designer at Trendence Institut, where they visualized data and key concepts to support career trends and insights for top companies. Additionally, they worked at MSD as a Communication Design Consultant from March 2009 to May 2014, and earlier as a Corporate Communications Intern from January 2008 to February 2009. In these roles, they wrote, designed, and published content for intranets, newsletters, and magazines, collaborated on internal strategies, and managed communication efforts during major organizational changes.

Irene's work experience also includes teaching graphic arts at UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello from March 2009 to July 2010, where they facilitated lessons, evaluated student work, and assisted with course program updates.

Irene Ramirez's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Communication from UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, which they obtained from 2003 to 2008. Irene further pursued their education at Hochschule Anhalt from 2010 to 2013, where they earned a Master of Arts degree in Integrated Design. Irene Ramirez also attended Hasso Plattner Institute from 2012 to 2013, undertaking an Advanced Course in Design Thinking. Recently, in 2021 to 2022, they attended General Assembly for the User Experience Design Immersive program.
