Jussi Paananen

Jussi Paananen has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Jussi is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Meru Health, a position they started in 2023. Previously, they worked at Quest Diagnostics from 2020 to 2023 as the Executive Director of Advanced Diagnostics Technology, leading global bioinformatics teams and multi-million dollar technology R&D projects. Jussi was also the Vice-Chairman of the Board at Nursie Health Oy from 2021 to 2021, and a Board Member from 2020 to 2021. In addition, Jussi held multiple positions at Blueprint Genetics, including Chief Technology Officer and Director of Data Science, between 2017 and 2020. Jussi co-founded Afekta Technologies, where they served as the Chairman of the Board, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Board Member, and Chief Technology Officer from 2017 to 2019. Jussi also co-founded Genomi Solutions Ltd., where they held the roles of Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder from 2008 to 2019. Jussi has a strong academic background and has worked at the University of Eastern Finland in various research and managerial roles. Jussi's experience also includes serving as a Member of the Research Ethics Committee and working as a Researcher at Kuopio University Hospital.

Jussi Paananen obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Medicine from the University of Eastern Finland, completing their degree between 2006 and 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Master's Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering from the same university, graduating between 2001 and 2005. Their earlier education history includes attending Puijon-Sarven yläaste, but specific dates and degrees are not provided. Jussi Paananen also holds a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster® from the Scrum Alliance, which they obtained in October 2017.
