Tommi Kääriäinen

Tommi Kääriäinen is a Research and Development Test Engineer at Merus Power since April 2022. Previously, Kääriäinen served as a research assistant at Aalto University, focusing on control methods for grid converters and completing a Master's Thesis that compared current and voltage control methods for line-interactive UPSs. Kääriäinen has also worked as a Test Engineer Trainee at ABB, conducting electrical and thermal tests on solar inverters and developing reporting tools for test data. Early career experiences include roles in newspaper delivery, project research, and various positions in process operations and wood handling at Metsä Fibre and Laminating Papers Oy. Kääriäinen holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Aalto University and a Bachelor of Applied Science from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
