Scott Hewetson Sr.

Scott Hewetson Sr. is an experienced security professional currently serving as a Municipal Security Coordinator for the Mesa Police Department since November 2021, where responsibilities include managing in-house security operations and overseeing contracts with private security firms. As Principal Consultant & Investigator at Hewetson Group since December 2015, Scott provides security risk assessments utilizing covert surveillance audits. Previous roles include Regional Security Manager at Kaiser Permanente Northwest, Police Commander at Hillsboro Police Department, and Background Investigator for the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards & Training. Scott also has experience as a Police Liaison with the Hillsboro School District, Materiel Management Specialist in the Air National Guard, and in various security and enforcement roles earlier in their career. Scott holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management & Organizational Leadership from George Fox University and a Management Certificate from Portland State University.
