Daryl Alexsy

Daryl Alexsy has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Daryl is currently working as a Creative Lead at Meshcapade, where they oversee the creative design and product development process for an avatar-creation platform. Prior to this, Daryl worked as a UI/UX Designer in the same company.

Before joining Meshcapade, Daryl was employed at Mozilla, where they served as a Product Design Lead for MDN and SuMo platforms. Daryl led redesign and improvement projects that enhanced the user experience, and contributed to maximizing user and developer resources on the Open Web. Daryl also held the position of Senior UX Designer at Mozilla.

In their previous role at novaCapta Software & Consulting, Daryl worked as a UI/UX Designer and Technology Specialist, where they delivered effective and intuitive UI/UX designs for custom applications and solutions across various industries.

Daryl also has experience working as a Freelance Designer/Illustrator, where they delivered graphic design, printmaking, animation, and visual storytelling projects. Additionally, they worked as a Work Study at KI group HQ, contributing to the design and development of custom solutions within a creative and technical capacity.

Earlier in their career, Daryl worked as a Master Scenic Artist at Grosse Pointe Performing Arts Center and as an English Tutor at America Reads*America Counts.

Daryl Alexsy's education history starts in 2008 when they attended the University of Michigan, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree. The field of study for this degree is not specified. In 2010, Daryl went on a study abroad program and spent a year at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, focusing on Germanistik/Deutsch als Fremdsprache (German Studies/German as a Foreign Language). During the same year, they also studied at Weißeensee Kunsthochschule Berlin, specializing in Visuelle Kommunikation/Visual Communication. In 2011, Daryl participated in another study abroad program, this time at Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin, with a focus on Kommunikationsdesign/Communication Design.

After a gap of several years, from 2018 to 2020, Daryl returned to Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin to pursue Game and Interactive Media Design. It is not specified whether they completed a degree in this field.

In terms of additional certifications, Daryl obtained the UXQB® CPUX Foundation Level certification from iSQI in March 2021. They also received the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in September 2020. In May 2020, they achieved the Unity Certified Professional: Programmer certification from Unity Technologies.
