Naureen Mahmood

Naureen Mahmood began their work experience as a Research Engineer at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in March 2012. During their time there, they focused on developing deformable human body models for computer vision and graphics and worked on methods to estimate accurate human body shape and pose from various sensor-based sources. Naureen held this position until February 2018.

In April 2018, Mahmood co-founded Meshcapade GmbH where they currently serve as the CEO. Meshcapade is a company that is revolutionizing 3D human modeling, tracking, sizing, and animation through state-of-the-art parametric models. The platform connects real human body shape and motion to digital avatars, allowing for applications in shopping, virtual presence, and games.

Naureen Mahmood completed their Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Computer Science at Lahore University of Management Sciences from 2002 to 2006. Afterwards, they pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree in Visualization Sciences at Texas A&M University from 2008 to 2011.
