Paul Bonarrigo has a diverse work experience that spans multiple roles and industries. Paul started their career in 1982 at Messina Hof Winery and Resort as an apprentice, where they gained knowledge in various aspects of grapegrowing, winemaking, and hospitality operations. Paul later worked their way up to become the CEO and Head Winemaker, overseeing sales, operations, and winemaking at multiple locations. In addition to their work at Messina Hof, Paul also served as the Past President of the Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association. Prior to their career in the wine industry, they served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps.

Paul Bonarrigo attended the United States Naval Academy from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering. In 2011, they enrolled at the University of California, Davis and completed a Certificate of Winemaking in Viticulture and Enology in 2013. Additionally, Paul obtained a Wset 2 certification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in February 2017.
