Lumia Ankkuri

Lumia Ankkuri has extensive work experience, with their most recent role being the Marketing and Communications Director at Messukeskus, Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. In this position, they lead a team of four, overseeing brand marketing, demand generation, communications, and customer experience. Lumia ensures that the unit's goals align with the broader organizational objectives.

Prior to this role, they served as a Business Manager at Messukeskus, where they had overall responsibility for various exhibitions and projects, including the largest health and wellness exhibition in the Nordics, the Finnish Dental Congress, and the largest training event for nurses. Lumia also managed the Habitare Fair and HIMSS and Health 2.0 events.

Before joining Messukeskus, Lumia worked as a Customer Marketing Specialist and Sales Manager at Matka Nordic Travel Fair, where they sold exhibition floor space, managed the floor plan, and provided customer service for existing clients. Lumia also negotiated successful sponsorship agreements and participated in international events to negotiate with potential clients.

Lumia's earlier work experience includes roles as a Communications Officer at both Messukeskus and The Finnish Veterinary Association, as well as a Communications Coordinator at Sonera SmartTrust Ltd.

Lumia Ankkuri pursued their education at Laurea University of Applied Sciences, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Business/Corporate Communications from 1998 to 2000. Later, they attended London Metropolitan University, acquiring a Master of Arts - MA degree in Events Marketing Management from 2010 to 2012.
