Chi-Keung (CK) Luk is a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Meta since February 2022, following a tenure at Google as Senior Staff Technical Lead and Manager, where development of performance tools for machine learning was a focus. Prior to Google, Chi-Keung held the position of Principal Engineer at Intel, leading efforts in GPU programming tools, and served as Principal Engineer at Compaq, specializing in compiler technology research and development. Early career highlights include roles as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto and a Summer Intern at IBM Toronto Lab, evaluating compiler prefetching. Chi-Keung Luk holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, along with an MPhil/BSc degree in Computer Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and experience as a Visiting Scholar at Carnegie Mellon University. Expertise areas include parallel programming, GPU programming, static and dynamic compilers, runtimes, and virtualization.
