Hod Finkelstein

Hod Finkelstein is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in optics and sensor systems across various industries. Currently serving as the Head of Cameras and Depth at Meta, Finkelstein oversees the development of cameras for Smart Glasses, Augmented Reality, and Virtual Reality products. Previous roles include Chief R&D Officer at AEye, Inc., where Finkelstein led the development of next-generation automotive lidar products, and CTO at Sense Photonics, responsible for solid-state flash lidar product development. Finkelstein also held senior positions at TruTag Technologies, Illumina, and VitaSense Technologies, with expertise in technology development and strategic consulting for life sciences and imaging technologies. Finkelstein earned an Executive MBA from Northwestern University and holds multiple electrical engineering degrees, including a PhD in Biophotonics from UC San Diego.
