Jay Venkatraman

Jay Venkatraman is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and development. As the Director of Software Engineering at Meta since July 2021, Jay focuses on building software infrastructure pipelines for Machine Learning models. Prior to that, Jay served as the Director of Engineering at Tesco from April 2006 to June 2021, where significant achievements included delivering major transformation projects in e-commerce that generated over $3 billion in revenue and launching a global multi-tenanted platform across eight countries. Jay also held the position of Vice President at Pershing from August 1999 to March 2006, leading the development of advanced e-commerce brokerage platforms. Jay holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).
