Ran Ding

Ran Ding is an accomplished Software Engineer and Tech Lead Manager at Meta since March 2020, specializing in machine learning applications, including Threads Relevance and Meta GenAI. Previously, Ran held the position of Senior Engineering Manager at Compass, where foundational work on machine learning products and infrastructure was achieved. Prior to that, experience as an Applied Scientist at Amazon Web Services involved research on generative models and the development of a semantic search service. Ran also founded Aperio.AI, Inc. focused on Computer Vision and served as Cofounder and Director of Engineering at Elenion Technologies, managing teams and advancing research into commercial products. Ran earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Nanjing University.
