Sharath Ciddu

Sharath Ciddu is a seasoned software engineering manager with extensive experience in leading engineering teams and developing innovative technologies. Currently serving as a Software Engineering Manager at Meta since July 2024, Sharath previously held the role of Senior Engineering Manager at Rubrik, Inc., where the focus was on Kubernetes data protection across various workloads. Prior to Rubrik, Sharath worked at Google from June 2014 to May 2021 as a Tech Lead Manager, contributing to products such as Google Search, Photos, Lens, and Maps. Sharath's career began as a Founding Engineer at Baarzo, which developed a next-gen video search platform, followed by engineering leadership roles at Polycom and ViVu, where impactful video conferencing solutions were created. Earlier positions include Software Engineer at Microsoft and Technical Associate at Trilogy, alongside a brief role as a Research Assistant at Télécom Paris. Sharath holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, completed in 2006.
