Tom Tang serves as the Global Head of Data Science at Meta since August 2021, overseeing marketing data science functions across major platforms including WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and more, while focusing on building advanced analytics capabilities. Prior to Meta, Tom held significant leadership roles at Walmart, including Vice President of Advanced Analytics and Vice President of Marketing Analytics, driving digital transformation and innovation in marketing through advanced analytics. Tom's earlier experience includes serving as Chief Analytics Officer at HomeLight, Vice President of Digital Growth at Beepi, and Vice President of Analytics at TrueCar. Additional roles include Senior Director of Analytics at The Meet Group and Director positions at eBay, where Tom was a pioneer in data science and developed key marketing products. Educational qualifications include degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Tsinghua University.
