Christian Vessaz has worked in the software engineering and development field since 2007. In 2007, they completed an internship at RM Synergie SA. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a student assistant at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). In 2010, they completed their Master Thesis at Voith Hydro. In 2010, they also began working as a Scientific Assistant at EPFL. From 2011 to 2015, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at EPFL, where they developed and commissioned a micro Pelton turbine test rig for educational purposes. From 2016 to 2020, they worked as a Software Developer at Osylum, where they implemented the physics engine using C++, improved the performance of the code, developed a parallel version of the software, and created tools to enhance the user interface. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Metaco SA.
