Christian Vessaz

Christian Vessaz has worked in the software engineering and development field since 2007. In 2007, they completed an internship at RM Synergie SA. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a student assistant at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). In 2010, they completed their Master Thesis at Voith Hydro. In 2010, they also began working as a Scientific Assistant at EPFL. From 2011 to 2015, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at EPFL, where they developed and commissioned a micro Pelton turbine test rig for educational purposes. From 2016 to 2020, they worked as a Software Developer at Osylum, where they implemented the physics engine using C++, improved the performance of the code, developed a parallel version of the software, and created tools to enhance the user interface. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Metaco SA.

Christian Vessaz's education history includes a Doctoral Thesis, PhD in energy from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 2011 to 2015, a Master of Science, MSc in Mechanical Engineering, spec. Aero- and Hydrodynamics from 2008 to 2010, a Bachelor of Science, BSc in Mechanical Engineering from 2005 to 2008, and a Maturité fédérale in Physique et application des mathématiques from 2002 to 2005 from Gymnase d'Yverdon-les-Bains.
