Alekhya Akkunuri

Alekhya Akkunuri is a Senior Bioinformatics Software Engineer at Metagenomi since October 2023, previously serving as a Senior Biomedical Data Engineer at Exact Sciences from September 2018 to October 2023, where leadership was demonstrated in data engineering for R&D and enhancing assay efficiency. Prior roles include Biomedical Data Analyst at Genomic Health, where data engineering efforts were focused on quality data management and collaboration with various teams, and a Data Management Intern at Genentech, developing automation tools for bioreactor and cell culture data. Alekhya began a career in pharmaceutical research with a summer internship at Aurobindo Pharma, isolating microorganisms for drug production.
