Eric Cumming

CEO at Metalytics

Eric Cumming is the current CEO at Metalytics and was formerly the Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at Maverick Synfuels, Inc. from January 2011 to December 2016. At Maverick Synfuels, Eric was responsible for business development, sales, corporate strategy and investment. Eric launched an innovative and industry-leading deployment strategy to drive project and sales pipeline opportunities.

During their time at Maverick Synfuels, Eric developed a national multi-site strategy for modular methanol plants using landfill waste gas to attract an offtake partner and a large private-equity fund. Eric focused the company's strategy on rapidly built, small scale distributed modular plants making the product line easier to sell / finance. Eric also created a sophisticated multidimensional Excel-based financial model to price and enable sensitivity analysis for multiple plant models based on capacity size, profit margins, interest rates, etc.

In order to promote and sell modular plants, Eric recruited regional agents while formulating an attractive commission-based compensation plan as a success incentive. Eric also drove the relationship towards a formal partnership agreement by introducing a strategy that included partnering with well-known large-scale off-take and commodity firms. Furthermore, they expanded valuable public relations exposure by representing the firm at industry trade shows and securing interviews with industry publications and analysts.

Additionally, Eric built and managed a database of commercial opportunities, as well as investment partners expressing an interest in funding company initiatives. Eric also strengthened the potential for investment fund raising by driving internal efforts to form intellectual property (IP) barriers of entry. To capture more online
