Jason van Aardt

Jason van Aardt is a seasoned software and hardware engineering professional with extensive experience in the telecommunications industry. Currently serving as a Senior Software Development Manager at Metaswitch Networks since April 2020, Jason focuses on cloud-based 5G solutions. Previous roles include Director of Field Application Engineering and Performance Testing at Netronome and Founder of CapeRocket. Jason's earlier positions span various leadership and technical roles, including FPGA Engineer at SKA SA and Principal Consultant at Nanoteq, specializing in cryptographic hardware and programmable logic. Jason began their career as an Embedded Systems Design Engineer at Grintek Comms and gained notable experience in ASIC design at Zyraywireless. Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand.
