Julie Hutton

Julie Hutton has extensive work experience in the legal field. Julie started their career at Baker & McKenzie in 2004 as a Senior Associate. Julie then became a Partner in 2007 and worked there until 2016. During their time at Baker & McKenzie, they also served as the Assistant Practice Group Manager, Corporate Markets, Sydney from 2015 to 2016. In 2015, they joined the Australian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (AVCAL) Council as a Council Member. In 2016, they joined Metcash as the General Manager Legal & Company Secretary and later became the Chief Legal, Risk and Compliance Officer & Company Secretary.

Julie Hutton holds a Bachelor of Asian Studies degree with a major in Vietnamese Language from The Australian National University. Julie also obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the same institution. Later, they pursued a Masters of Laws with a specialization in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from the University of Sydney. Additionally, they completed a Graduate program at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
