Stuart Thomson

Stuart Thomson is an accomplished Engineering Manager at METC - Metallurgical Engineering Technology & Construction, with a career that began in January 2018 as the first Electrical Engineering appointment. Stuart played a pivotal role in establishing the Electrical Engineering department, developing standards and procedures, and managing the department as the company expanded. Prior experience includes positions as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Wood and AMEC Foster Wheeler, contributing during significant transitions such as the takeover of AMEC Foster Wheeler by Wood. Stuart's engineering career began at MDM Engineering and earlier at DRA Global, with a solid academic foundation from the University of the Witwatersrand, where an Engineer's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering was earned from 2002 to 2006.
