Michael Herlihy

Michael Herlihy is a seasoned telecommunications professional with extensive experience in mobile communications and network operations. Currently serving as a Senior VAS/Mobile Packet Core Engineer at Meteor Mobile Communications since 2002, Michael oversees the deployment, testing, operation, maintenance, and optimization of various mobile messaging and data platforms, while also leading strategic projects. Previously, Michael held the position of Network Operations Engineer, focusing on maintaining network KPIs and resolving operational issues. Prior experience includes serving as a BSS Engineer at Ericsson GmbH, where deployment and upgrades of key technologies were facilitated for major clients in Germany. Michael holds an MSc in Telecommunications Engineering from Dublin City University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Software Engineering from The Fitzwilliam Institute, and both a BAI Degree in Telecommunication Engineering and a BA Degree in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin.
