Reidun Gangstø Skaland has a work experience as a climate scientist at the Norwegian Meteorological Institute since February 2012. Prior to that, they worked as a climate scientist and PostDoc at MeteoSwiss from July 2010 to November 2011. Reidun also worked as a PostDoc at the University of Bern from February 2010 to July 2010. In addition, they have experience as a scientist at Aanderaa Data Instruments from August 2004 to April 2005.
Reidun Gangstø Skaland pursued their education at the University of Bergen (UiB) from 1998 to 2004, specializing in Physical Oceanography and earning a Cand scient degree. Later, from 2005 to 2009, they attended the University of Bern, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Climate and Environmental Physics.
