Dr. Jessica Spallino has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Program Manager at PVCS from July 2003 to October 2011. Following that, they worked as a National Account Manager at K12 Inc./Fuel Ed from October 2011 to July 2014, where they focused on virtual curriculum provision and student enrollment. In 2014, Dr. Spallino founded Method Schools and served as the CEO. Dr. Jessica then founded SmartFox Education in January 2017. In October 2020, they published a book on change management, exploring concepts of origins and planning during change. In December 2020, they co-founded EdHype. Currently, Dr. Spallino works as a Leadership & Performance Coach at Brown University School of Professional Studies starting from June 2022.
Dr. Jessica Spallino earned their BA and California Multiple & Single Subject credentials in Education from California State University, Northridge, completing their studies in 2001. Dr. Jessica later pursued an MA/Administrative Credential in Educational Leadership at California State University- San Marcos from 2009 to 2011. Dr. Spallino continued their education at New Mexico State University, where they obtained their PhD in Curriculum & Instruction-Critical Pedagogy, Educational Technology in 2015.
In addition to their degrees, Dr. Spallino has also earned several certifications. In 2015, they obtained the Inbound Certification from HubSpot. In 2016, they completed the certifications for Leading Change and Instructional Design Essentials: Needs Analysis, both from LinkedIn. In 2017, Dr. Spallino obtained the Change Management Certification from the Acuity Institute. Most recently, in 2022, they received the Leadership & Performance Coaching Certification from Brown University School of Professional Studies.
