Kristin Engdahl has a diverse work experience in the field of film production and editing. Kristin started their career as a Film Director at the University of Iowa Campus Activities Board in 2011. From 2012 to 2014, they held various roles such as a Creative Campaign member at the Iowa City International Documentary Film Festival and a Summer Intern at the Independent Filmmaker Project Minnesota. Kristin then worked as Multiple Administrative Positions at Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. from 2008 to 2012. In 2016, they worked as an Editor and VFX Artist at Motion 117 Productions and as a Receptionist at Crew Cuts NYC Edit & Post. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as a Roto, Paint & Prep Artist and Video Editor on a freelance basis. In 2017, they joined Method Studios and progressed in their roles from VFX Production Coordinator to VFX Producer to Supervising VFX Producer. Currently, they serve as the Associate Head of Production at Method Studios since May 2023.
Kristin Engdahl obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Cinema and Psychology from the University of Iowa, attending from 2009 to 2013. In 2012, they also briefly studied at Queen Mary University of London for their Bachelor of Arts degree in the same fields. Following their undergraduate studies, Engdahl pursued a Master's Degree in Filmmaking (Post-Production) at the Met Film School from 2013 to 2014.
