Carlos Castilla

Carlos Castilla is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in guitar instruction and performance. As the owner of Fayetteville School of Music, LLC since June 2018, Carlos also serves as a guitar instructor at multiple institutions, including Methodist University and Fayetteville State University, since August 2018 and August 2017, respectively. Additional teaching roles include positions at Coastal Carolina Community College and North Carolina State University. As a member of the guitar-piano ensemble "Duoguitiano," Carlos collaborates with pianist Amanda Virelles, both of whom have strong academic backgrounds in music from various prestigious institutions. Carlos's freelance career as a guitarist and private instructor began in 1991, encompassing solo recitals, chamber music, and workshops. Academic qualifications include a Doctorate in Musical Arts and a Master's in Music from the University of Southern Mississippi, along with degrees from renowned institutions in Cuba and Colombia.
