Esther Hellmann, PhD, is a Research Associate at Metis Associates since March 2016 and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Teachers College, Columbia University since September 2012, where courses taught include Theory and Techniques of Assessment and Intervention in Reading. Previous roles include Officer of Research at Columbia University Medical Center and Adjunct Lecturer at Kingsborough Community College and Queens College, focusing on literacy and psychology subjects. As a Co-Investigator at Columbia University Department of Psychiatry, Esther contributed to a study on reading patterns in psychotic patients and developed an advanced scoring system. With a strong foundation in educational psychology from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, Esther has a Doctor of Philosophy in the field and has extensive experience in educational evaluation and intervention strategies.
