Iryna Chekhova

Iryna Chekhova has a diverse work experience in the events and hospitality industry. Iryna'smost recent role was as the DC of Marketing & Communications at the MetisDAO Foundation, a position they started in May 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Metis as the Head of Events, where they started in August 2022. Before joining Metis, Iryna was an Event Coordinator at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel from January 2020 to August 2021. Iryna also gained experience as a Special Events Intern at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation from April 2019 to August 2019. Earlier in their career, Iryna held positions such as Front Office Specialist at Maxx Royal Resorts from May 2018 to October 2018, and Guest Service Representative at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club from December 2016 to November 2017. Iryna also worked as a Front Office Specialist at Rotana Hotel Management Corporation PJSC from August 2014 to July 2016. Iryna has considerable experience as an Event Manager, having held roles at BTL - Business Travel Leisure from April 2013 to April 2014, NRB Conferences & Events from November 2011 to March 2013, and Initia Events from May 2008 to November 2011. Iryna Chekhova completed their education in a chronological order. In 2005, they started studying at Kiev National Linguistic University where they pursued a Master's degree in Business/Commerce, General. Iryna continued their education there until 2010.

In 2018, Iryna enrolled in George Brown College and obtained a Post-Graduate degree in Sports and Event Marketing in 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Iryna also attained several certifications. In November 2017, they received a Hospitality Professional Certificate from the American Hospitality Academy. In June 2020, they completed the Fundraising Essentials certification from NonprofitReady. More recently, in May 2021, Iryna obtained two certifications: Become a Project Manager and Project Management Foundations, both from LinkedIn.
