Miika Pihlaja

Miika Pihlaja is a co-founder and CTO of Unitary Healthcare, a medical technology company focused on enhancing healthcare professionals' capabilities through its product Uoma, a cross-platform SaaS solution for patient logistics. In addition to this role, Miika serves as a board member at Metosin and previously worked as a programmer for the company, contributing to its expansion in Helsinki. Prior experience includes positions as a software engineer at NextMesh International Oy and co-founder and CTO of Kovalo, where Miika led technology and development before Kovalo was acquired. Miika's background also encompasses research roles at the University of Helsinki and Helsinki University of Technology, specializing in machine learning, mathematical statistics, and brain imaging. Miika holds both a Master's Degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor's Degree in Cognitive Science from the University of Helsinki.
