Chandler Gaines

Chandler Gaines has held several positions in the IT and development fields. From 2018 to the present, they have been employed at Progressive Insurance as a Senior IT Apps Programmer and an IT Apps Programmer. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Developer at Metova, Inc., where they developed applications for a publicly traded company and maintained and refactored a complex, multi-threaded, audio streaming codebase. In 2016, they attended the Arkansas Coding Academy, where they learned Java, XML, and Android development, along with technologies and skills like SQLite, APIs, Google Firebase, agile development practices, version control with Git/GitHub, and more. Chandler presented their app, "Kindred Spirits," designed to create a safe and healing space for individuals with anxiety and depression, upon completion of the course. From 2014 to 2016, they were employed at the University of Central Arkansas as an Events Coordinator, Guest Lecturer, Research Assistant, and Copy Editor. In 2014, they were an Executive Intern at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, and from 2011 to 2010, they were an Executive Assistant at Be the One Ministries and a House Manager at Family Services, respectively.

Chandler Gaines attended the Arkansas Coding Academy in 2016, where they obtained a Java Android Certification in Computer Science/Programming. From 2010 to 2015, they attended the University of Central Arkansas and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Anthropology, and Gender Studies. Chandler also attended The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars from 2012 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Community Organization, Advocacy, and the Arts.
