Alina Cucu

Alina Cucu has several years of work experience in various roles. Alina most recently worked as a Software Engineer at metr Building Management Systems GmbH since September 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Yilu from January 2019 to June 2020. Alina also served as a Junior Data Engineer at Wimdu from March 2018 to October 2018 and as a Data Engineering Intern at The SaaS Co. from October 2017 to March 2018.

Before their roles in software engineering, Alina participated in a program at FrauenLoop gUG where they completed a 9-month program in Front-End Web Development, focusing on HTML, CSS, and Javascript basics, as well as Sqlite/Postgres Query and Database Management Systems. Alina also worked as a Junior Software Developer/Data Analyst at FrauenLoop gUG from July 2016 to July 2017.

Alina has additional experience outside of software engineering. Alina worked as a Content-Manager at idealo internet GmbH from September 2013 to July 2017. Alina also served as a Ruby on Rails Mentor at ReDI School of Digital Integration from February 2016 to May 2016.

Earlier in their career, Alina held roles as a Marketing Assistant at IQPC from June 2012 to May 2013, a Marketing SEO intern at Wimdu from September 2011 to November 2011, and a Collection Specialist at Emerson from January 2010 to August 2011.

Alina Cucu attended Babeș-Bolyai University from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in French Language and Literature. In terms of additional certifications, they completed various courses from different institutions. In 2015, they obtained a certification in "Programming for Everybody (Python)" from Coursera. In 2018, they completed the course "Java Programming: Solving Problems with Software" from Coursera, as well as the course "Algorithmic Toolbox" from the same institution. In 2017, they completed several courses including "Data Analysis Tools," "Data Manipulation at Scale: Systems and Algorithms," "Applied Machine Learning in Python," and "Data Management and Visualization," all from Coursera. Additionally, in 2018, they obtained a certification in "Python for Data Science and Machine Learning Bootcamp" from Udemy. Most recently, in 2020, they completed "Data Structures and Algorithms" from Udacity.
