Laurent Renard

Laurent Renard has extensive experience in the food sourcing and retail industry, currently serving as Director at METRO Food Sourcing in the Valencia Trading Office since September 2009, overseeing operations involving fruits, vegetables, fish, and frozen seafood across more than 20 countries, with annual sales reaching €450 million and a growth rate of 25% over the past five years. Previously, Laurent held the position of Senior Buyer at METRO Cash and Carry France from 2004 to 2009, managing the dairy and delicatessen categories, including offer definition, supplier selection, and price negotiation. Earlier roles include Category Manager for DIA Group from 2000 to 2004, focusing on budget planning and assortment for frozen and dry food, and Product Manager for dairy, selecting suppliers and negotiating prices. Laurent began a career at Auchan as a Floor Manager from 1995 to 2000 and holds a Master's degree in International Business from EBS Paris, earned between 1989 and 1993.
