James Brown

James Brown is an experienced fire service professional with a career spanning over three decades, currently serving as Fire Marshal for the New Lenox Fire Protection District since December 1991. In this role, James supervises the Life Safety Division, overseeing activities related to life safety education, ordinance enforcement, and inspections for approximately 1,600 properties. James holds multiple titles including Contract Manager at Metro Paramedic Service, Inc. and various leadership roles within the Illinois Fire Inspectors Association, including Past President and current Board of Directors member. Additionally, James has experience as Firefighter/Paramedic at Crestwood Fire Dept and has worked in positions ranging from Elevator Mechanic to EMS Coordinator throughout the years. Educational credentials include an advanced certificate in Emergency Medical Technology from Kankakee Community College and specialized training in Fire/Arson Investigation.
