Michael Capilli has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries. Michael started their career in 1987 as a Chiropractor while being self-employed. In 1998, they joined Metro Public Adjustment, Inc. as a National Sales Director/Insurance Adjuster and later became the Senior Vice President/Public Adjuster. Simultaneously, in 2005, they took on the role of Chief Legislative Officer at the American Association of Public Insurance Adjusters, advocating for the rights of public insurance adjusters and consumers. In 2016, they joined the Windstorm Insurance Network, Inc.® as a Board of Directors member and later served as a Subject Matter Expert at the New York State Insurance Department. Michael also served as a Subject Matter Expert at the Ohio Insurance Exam Review and the Pennsylvania Exam Review Committee. In 2019, they became the Vice President of the Florida Association of Public Insurance Adjusters before their role ended in 2020. Overall, Michael Capilli has extensive experience in insurance adjusting, public advocacy, and professional committees.
Michael Capilli began their education by obtaining a high school diploma from Audubon High School in 1978. Michael then pursued an Associate of Science degree in Science from Camden County College, which they completed in 1980. Following this, Michael attended Cleveland University-Kansas City from 1983 to 1987, where they attained a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree in Chiropractic Medicine.
In 2014, Michael furthered their education by enrolling in The Institutes, AICPCU, where they completed the Associate in Claims (AIC™) program, emphasizing insurance and claims. The following year, in 2015, they obtained certifications as a Senior Professional Public Adjuster (SPPA®) and an Associate in Claims-Management (AIC-M) from the same institution.
