Paolo Mari

Paolo Mari has over 25 years of work experience in finance and analytics roles. Paolo currently serves as the Vice President of Business Analytics and Commercial Management at Metro Supply Chain, where they lead the Commercial Finance, Procurement, and Supply Chain Analytics teams. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Director of Commercial Finance and Supply Chain Analytics at Metro Supply Chain. Before joining Metro Supply Chain, Paolo was the Director of Commercial Finance at DHL Supply Chain for 10 years. Paolo also held the position of Director of Finance, Transportation, and Quality at Matrix Logistics Services Limited for 7 years. Paolo started their career as a Finance Manager at Tibbett & Britten Group Canada and later worked as a Business Analyst at Canadian Tire Corporation and Loblaw Companies Limited.

Paolo Mari has a strong educational background in accounting, finance, and political science. In 1999, they obtained their CGA degree in Accounting from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). Afterward, in 2007, Paolo completed their MBA with a concentration in Finance at Athabasca University. Prior to this, they earned a B.Comm in Finance from the University of Windsor in 1992. Paolo's undergraduate studies began with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science at both Western University and King's University College, which they completed from 1987 to 1990.

In terms of additional certifications, Paolo became a Chartered Professional Accountant through CPA Canada in January 1999. Paolo also obtained the Power BI Black Belt certification from the Power BI User Group in December 2018.
