Gergana Krasteva

Gergana Krasteva is an experienced journalist and media professional with a diverse background in news reporting, health journalism, and multimedia production. Currently serving as a Fellow at the John Schofield Trust since January 2023, Gergana has also worked as a News Reporter at Metro.co.uk since September 2021 and held positions as a Health Reporter and Multimedia Reporter at Newsquest from October 2019 to September 2021. Prior to that, Gergana produced content at Absolute Post, focusing on budgeting and workflows for various media projects. Gergana's foundational training as an NCTJ Trainee Journalist at Press Association Training included essential modules in news reporting and media law. Gergana’s career began with internships and assistant roles at Delayed Gratification, The Upcoming, and Smoke TV, showcasing early skills in research, editorial tasks, and production. Gergana holds a BA (Hons) in Journalism from the University of Westminster and completed short courses in Creative Writing, Journalism, and Marketing at the American University in Bulgaria.
