Faizal Badat

Faizal Badat has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Faizal started their career as a Telecoms Engineer at Telkom in 1989 and worked there until 1992. Following that, they joined Teleboss as a Senior PBX Engineer and remained with the company for nearly a decade, leaving in 2001. Faizal then joined Vox Telecom, where they held various roles such as Product Development Engineer, Product Development Manager, National Manager of Service and Development, Head of Operations, Head of Customer Service, and Senior Product Manager. Faizal worked at Vox Telecom for over 19 years before leaving in 2020. In 2020, they briefly worked at Khula Fleet as an Operations Manager. In 2021, they joined Cloudsell Africa as an Operations Manager before becoming the Head of Service Delivery at MetroFibre Networx in August 2021.

Faizal Badat attended ML Sultan High School in Pietermaritzburg from 1982 to 1987. Faizal then pursued a N6 Electrical Engineering degree at Sastri College from 1989 to 1992. In 2004, they obtained a Project Management Diploma from Varsity College. In 2015, Faizal completed an ITIL course at Foster Melliar. Most recently, in 2019-2020, they studied Product Management at the University of Cape Town.
