Zeelaf Majeed

Zeelaf Majeed is a seasoned media professional with a diverse background in editorial leadership and education. Currently serving as the Managing Editor for Network Radio Current Affairs at CBC since February 2022, Zeelaf oversees national radio programs and manages staffing, budgets, and editorial strategy. Previously, Zeelaf held the role of Deputy Director of Content at Metroland Media Group and managed editorial teams for community newspapers in the Greater Toronto Area. With extensive teaching experience at institutions such as Seneca College and Ryerson University, Zeelaf has delivered courses on digital journalism and design. Earlier career highlights include significant roles at TVO, where Zeelaf developed award-winning content and pioneered digital production models, as well as producing live shows and news reports for CBC. Zeelaf holds a Master’s Degree in Digital Media and a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Ryerson University, along with a Bachelor's in English and History from Western University.
