Michael Kitagawa

Michael Kitagawa has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Michael started their career as an Articling Student at Aird & Berlis LLP in 1996 and later became an Associate at the same firm in 1998. In 1999, they joined the City of Brampton as a Legal Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel. After a successful tenure there, they moved on to Metrolinx in 2009, where they worked as Legal Counsel until 2014. Michael then took on the role of Senior Legal Counsel (Director) at Metrolinx until 2020, and currently holds the position of Vice President, Legal.

Michael Kitagawa completed their Bachelor of Arts degree from Western University between 1989 and 1993. Michael then went on to earn a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the same university between 1993 and 1996.
