Amy Kern

Amy Kern is a highly experienced professional in the field of industrial design, currently serving as a Professor of Industrial Design at Metropolitan State University of Denver since May 2014. Kern also provides leadership as the Founder and Director of Design at AK Magma Design, a consultancy specializing in a blend of humanitarian and commercial design projects. Previous roles include Director of Product Design and Senior Furniture and Lighting Designer at GAR Products, as well as Senior Product Designer at Foldcraft and Senior Custom Designer at Closetry. Amy Kern holds a Master of Industrial Design from Pratt Institute and a BA in Religion/Religious Studies and Fine Art from UC Santa Barbara.
